1/18-24: Workaholics

Because we just love RYON Labs.

Programming Subdivision

Nolan & his minions added code for the bump switches, and limit switches on Betelgeuse - automating the way we pick the stacks and put down the totes. They also inserted code for our competition robot's user input (intake).

They spent Friday evening setting up a new driver station laptop (Nolan's new toy) while simultaneously working on the lift for the competition robot. Over the course of this past week, they also added code for PID controllers & encoders for our Practice robot.

Mechanical + Electrical Subdivisions

After the design team worked out the kinks on CAD, Mechanical sub-teams completed the construction of the drive train started last Saturday for Robot v1. High school students of all grades (from Lamar, Debakey, and Carnegie) worked closely with mentors to drill holes, cut metal pieces, and file everything neatly for as close as we get to an assembly without a hitch. (as pictured)
